Our Sunday School programs take place year-round from 9:30-10:30 for all ages. Children meet together in the balcony of the sanctuary for an opening time of prayer, worship, and mini-lesson before heading to their classrooms for age-specific Bible lessons. Seventh through twelfth graders enjoy worship & donuts in the Fireside Room before the junior highers head to their classroom for age-specific teaching allowing our high schoolers time to focus on Bible lessons most applicable to their level of maturity. Adults choose from two or three classes that range from introductory level Bible classes to in-depth studies.
During the summer months, the church as a whole does a topical study during the Sunday School hour, allowing the Sunday School teachers to be free to join in with other adults, while all the children gather in a Vacation Bible School type morning, and the Jr & Sr Highers meet together to study the same topic in an age appropriate way.
Children ages 3 – 12 are invited to participate in our Children’s Church program which takes place during the regular church service each week. All children remain in the sanctuary for announcements and a portion of the worship service before departing with Children’s Church leaders for an age-appropriate Bible lesson, worship, snack, and craft in the Discovery House. If you prefer your child(ren) to remain in the worship service with you, that is perfectly acceptable as well. Children’s Church meets in the Discovery House located behind the main worship center.
Our children present a musical at least once per year that requires them to memorize lines, including scripture, and to utilize their singing voices to praise our God and King. Often performed at Christmas and Easter, these special productions solidify the children’s understanding of both the incarnate birth of Christ, as well as His death and resurrection – and give the children an opportunity to share that knowledge with others in a fun and meaningful way.
Each summer our 3rd-6th grade children have the opportunity to attend summer camp. Whether they’re attending a Christian camp with other churches, or one created for our children alone, the focused days provide growth for the children in their relationship with God and with other children in our group.
Good News Club
Good News Clubs are an integral part of Child Evangelism Fellowship, these after school clubs allow for students – many of whom are otherwise unchurched – to hear the gospel message as they memorize scripture, receive Bible teaching, play games and participate in worship. Click here for more info.
